In 1978 in Milan, thanks to the experience and tenacity of Gualtiero Mattei, Maglificio Cavalieri borned.
The Mattei family, has been in the knitwear and wool sectors for decades, but only as small artisans, and Gualtiero’s dream was to transform a small artisan reality into a great company capable of mixing quality and innovation, without forgetting its origins.

This is how the first knitwear collection Cavalieri borned in 1978.

The attention to details, the quality of the yarns used and the deep knowledge of the sweater, allow the Cavalieri line to grow more and more over the years and estabilish its name on the italian territory.

In the early years of 2000, Gualtiero started to be supported from the older of his three sons, Renzo, who showed himself from the beginning decided to follow in the footsteps of his father and eager to continue to affirm the values that have animated up to now the family business; style, enthusiasm and quality.
In the following years, also the younger sons of Gualtiero became part of the knitwear factory; Alessandro and Gabriele.
The union, strength and positivity of the three brothers are the engine that continues the dream of their family today.
